Description:
The Spindle Pry Bar (SPB) is used to manipulate the Main Rotor Spindle during maintenance on the Main Rotor Head. Hydraulic hoses were required to be disconnected when using prior designs of the SPB, driving subsequent bleed and service actions. SPB-60-RS alleviates the need to disconnect hydraulic hoses and does not risk damage or impingement to the hydraulic hoses or adjacent components, thereby reducing maintenance man-hours and downtime compared to work required with prior SPB designs. The machined 6061 aluminum is lightweight and ergonomic, meticulously designed to exact form, fit and function for the task and approved for use by USN H-60 FST Engineering.
